Can an Outer Citizen claim $BYTES?
No, S1 Citizens are the only holders that "passively" yield $BYTES. However, Outer Citizens will be able to stake up to 100 $BYTES for a small yield of $BYTES (~0.32-0.5 $BYTES per day, all of these numbers are approximate and subject to change) under the $BYTES 2.0 Tokenomics Proposal.
Yes, staked Outer Citizens have the minimum $BYTE yield. An Outer Citizen's Byte yield can be maximized by staking 200 $BYTES in addition to the Outer Citizen.

What is Neo Tokyo?

Neo Tokyo is the crypto gaming illuminati—a community created by zssbecker and elliotrades with programmer Thrasher66099.

To gain access to Neo Tokyo, you must hold a Citizen (also known as an "S1") or Outer Citizen ("S2") Ethereum-based NFT, which serve as both a traditional profile picture and a way to enter the community. These NFTs are composite avatars made up of component NFTs, including an identity, item cache, and land deed. Citizen NFTs also require a vault.

To enter the community, you must decide to compile a Citizen or Outer Citizen from the component parts (known as "assembling" or "uploading") or purchase an already-assembled Citizen or Outer Citizen.

Citizens and Outer Citizens can also generate $BYTES (a community token), if they are staked.

The official website for Neo Tokyo is https://neotokyo.codes
The community can be found in the Neo Tokyo Citadel on the Discord platform.

What is Neo Tokyo's roadmap?

Zssbecker laid out the long term vision and future of Neo Tokyo, the implementation of incentivized building and $BYTES 2.0, and some aspirational projects to be built by the community in a series of blog posts on the official website at https://blog.neotokyo.codes/

How do I join Neo Tokyo?

There are several levels of membership to Neo Tokyo. To become a networking member of Neo Tokyo, you will need an Elite Citizen NFT for complete access, a Citizen for general access, or an Outer Citizen for limited access. Each Citizen can be assembled from components or purchased already assembled.

After securing a Citizen, you can verify your ownership and join the community in the Neo Tokyo discord.

How can I preview an assembled Citizen (S1 & S2) before buying more component pieces?

You can preview an assembled Citizen before buying its component pieces using the Citizen Assembler.

What are Chips?

Neo Tokyo Champion Chips are the greatest cybernetic enhancements in all The Citadel. The purpose of chips is not known at this time.

What is the “Allocation” trait?

Allocation is a trait of the outer citizen NFTs that is an undefined trait, and you speculate on it at your own risk! Becker has stated many times that he never promised that Allocation would ever actually be anything.
